Do you have any Real Man Food Recipes Please?

My husband doesn't cook and never has, I need a simple but good recipe to cook for dinner tonight. It is not his birthday or anything. We always have hamburgers, or spaghetti and that is it. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Oh, by the way: This is what he typically eats to give you an idea on what his taste is:

Cheese enchiladas, tacos, hamburgers, pizza, french fries, cheese casadillasDo you have any Real Man Food Recipes Please?

DIRECTIONS

1. Preheat an oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish, and pour the salsa into the bottom of the dish. Set aside.

2. Cook and stir the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat for about 10 minutes, until meat is browned and crumbly. Drain the grease from the beef, and add the salsa con queso to the skillet, stirring to mix well. Place about 2 tablespoons of the beef mixture down the center of each tortilla, roll the tortillas, and place them seam side down on top of the salsa in the baking dish. Sprinkle the shredded cheese on top of the enchiladas.

3. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes in the preheated oven, until the cheese is browned and the enchiladas are hot and bubbling.Do you have any Real Man Food Recipes Please?
I am planning this meal very soon. Just got the recipe this morning from My (current) real man's, Mother.

3o Stuffed jalapenos 鈥?the trick is to make sure everything can be divided by 2 and 3 so here is recipe for 30 and you can adjust up or down. When working with the jalapenos make sure you wear thin latex gloves or you will be very sore

15 jalapenos cut off stem, slice longways and scrape out seeds and membrane under running water then set aside

In large bowl, squish 1 small brick of soft cream cheese, 1 handful of favorite orange cheese and 2 large cans of chunk white chicken in water that has been drained.

When it is all squishy fill each jalapeno half.

Cut 10 slices of bacon into 3rds. Wrap a little piece of bacon around each stuffed jalapeno and bake in an oven preheated to 350 degrees. You can use a cookie sheet, shallow cake pan or easiest for cleanup is to line broiler pan with foil, place broiler top on and lay jalapenos on it, that way grease goes down.

These things are addictive, serve with beer, wine, margaritas, coffee, dr. Pepper, whatever. I absolutely love them.

So, sounds good to me, I'm gonna give them a whirl. She did say that once they are baked, they are not overly hot and spicy.

Good luck with your feeding frenzy!!
Meatloaf

1 1/2 pounds ground beef

1 egg

1 onion, chopped

1 cup milk

1 cup dried bread crumbs

salt and pepper to taste

2 tablespoons brown sugar

2 tablespoons prepared mustard

1/3 cup ketchup

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).

In a large bowl, combine the beef, egg, onion, milk and bread OR cracker crumbs. Season with salt and pepper to taste and place in a lightly greased 5x9 inch loaf pan, OR form into a loaf and place in a lightly greased 9x13 inch baking dish.

In a separate small bowl, combine the brown sugar, mustard and ketchup. Mix well and pour over the meatloaf.

Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 1 hour.

Serve with mashed potatoes, a steamed veggie and warm bread %26amp; butter.
Well, some of my husbands favorites (and he can be a pretty picky eater):

-Grilled steak or chicken with baked potatoes

one yummy way and quick way for chicken is to season with garlic powder salt and pepper grill, and when they are done put a slice of pepper jack cheese on until it melts :)

-Homemade chicken noodle soup or cream of broccoli

-lasagna

-Salisbury steak

-we had grilled cheese and tomato soup the other night...

-meatloaf / Salisbury steak

-fettichini alfredo

-you can get frozen ravioli and add spaghetti sauce w/ garlic bread

-taco's / bean burritos

-we mini pizza's on english muffins w/ spaghetti sauce and the top them how we want (my daughter esp. loves this one)

-I do alot of stuff with noodles, make some kind of cheesy sauce add cooked chicken, and frozen veggies.

-another quick and easy meal is to line a 13x9x2 pan w/ foil put about 1 cup of minute rice, 3/4 cup of water, season some boneless chicken breast and place on top, then add a can of some kind of cream cambles soup (like cream of chicken, cream of mushroom...etc...)

Most of this stuff uses the same type of ingredients so my shopping list is generally the same which is nice...

Hope that some what helps! Good luck ^_^
Judging by his tastes, I'm guessing he loves fried chicken?

An easy way to make fried chicken is to prepare a large bowl with 1.5 cups flour, a 1/2 t. sage, 1/2 t. chicken flavoring, and a 1/2 t. salt. In another bowl, break 3 or 4 eggs and beat them. Dip the uncooked chicken breast into the eggs, making sure to fully coat the chicken in the egg, and then dip the chicken into the flour mixture until it is fully coated in that. Then, all you need to do is place the chicken cutlets in a frying pan with some oil and a little butter. Once you cook them a few minutes on one side, flip them so they can cook on the other side.

While you're preparing the eggs and flour mixtures, you should have a pot of water boiling, and in there you can drop some potatoes for mashed potatoes. Once the potatoes are cooked through, just add some pepper and butter and milk, and use a potato masher.

Good luck!!!
make a steak diner!!

real man food and it's easy

sire the steaks on 3/4 heat in butter, like 2 minutes on each side depending on how think they are.

make mashed potatoes, mash them with sour cream butter and a handful of parmesan cheese, some salt %26amp; pepper, and some garlic powder.

make steamed broccoli, or spinach on the side, because it's important you get your veggies.

or if you want something totally different you could do grilled chicken, or stir fry.
Does he eat anything healthy at all?? Basically what you've listed as his typical diet is a big plate of saturated fat, simple carbs, salt and processed food- the unhealthiest of the unhealthy food you can eat. I think you should do him a favour and make some proper real food, like a stew with lots of cabbage on the side, or a stir-fry with nice crunchy veg and chicken or prawns or something, or maybe even just a chilli and brown rice. Something anyway with veg, complex carbs and herbs and spices for flavour rather than salt and chemicals. I really don't want to sound horrible but his typical diet is Real Dead Man Food. Try this root veg stew http://vegweb.com/index.php?topic=10175.鈥?/a> with grilled chicken on the side (take the skin off). That's a seriously unhealthy diet he's got.
this meal is so easy... and so so so good!

go to the store you usually shop at and get a round roast... and put it in a pan fit for the oven... put water in the pan till it is about a inch high on the meat place some foil over it and put it in the oven at 350 for say.. if its a 5 lb roast put it in the oven for 4 hours .... then at 4 hours.. i add a little more water add potatoes carrots and some sliced onion unless you dont like onion.. it tastes so good with or without. then keep it in the oven covered till the potatoes and carrots are tender.... and there yah go you got a roast.. and you just had to put it in the oven and forget it... if you want to make it into stew... add a package of brown gravy mix and water to make a nice semi thick gravy over it.. and yum!!

if you arent someone who loves cooking.... in the meat section at walmart has in the beef area already packaged ready for the pot.. roast potatoes and carrots... seasoning and all.. perfect ammount for 2 people.... he will love it....ive yet to meet a man who didnt just love this hearty meal.... even my husband who love pizza tacos and casadillas.... he will love the fact you cooked something.. and he will think it took a lifetime to prepare
A fritatta is easy and quick and can be made with your favorite vegetables, cheese, spices, etc.

Basically you fry the potatoes, hashbrown, etc., and then layer it with the vegetebles, meat, cheese, etc. Then pour the omelet mixture over. Once it sets you either bake it off or flip it.
I wouldn't call him a real man, but just picky. No disrespect intended. My husband eats almost anything.

How about a pot roast with potato and carrots.

Pulled pot roast with green chilis as burritos.

Chili

Steak stirfry

Quiche

Actually, the quiche I make is just more like baked eggs. I use pam in a pan, dice up what ever is left over in the fridge, scramble eggs and grate cheese. I throw it all together and bake 350* for 45 minutes. It's quiche like, but with no crust.

Waffles (I love breakfast for dinner) and sausage

Steak and bean soup with fresh bread

I can give you any recipes you need. Just email me.
Bake a chicken, make mashed potatoes or home fries and gravy. You can probably eat off of that for two days. With remaining chicken make homemade fajitas with some flat bread or tortillas.

That which you listed is not necessarily man food, more like junk food, which is good but not if it is a constant diet.
Are you married to MY husband? LOL He's a meat and taters man too!!

Anyhow, make something like a French Dip sandwich, home made meatballs, pot roast, stew, chili is a good one, chicken fried steak with mashed taters and gravy, chicken strips with sauces, chimichangas, shepherd's pie, chicken shepherd's pie, ETC.

E-mail for recipes.
Beef stew in the slow cooker...or regular pot if you don't have a slow cooker.

1 package Beef (for stewing)

4-5 potatoes (wash, cut into 4 pieces)

1 package of carrots (baby size)

1 onion (less if you don't like onions) cut into inch pieces

Little bit of salt %26amp; pepper

Little bit of thyme or other seasonings to taste

Cook until potatoes break easy with fork

Serve in warm, shelled sourdough bread bowl from bakery.
Chicken enchiladas in cheese cream are a superb recipe. Not eactly difficult, but lots of ingredients. I prefer flour tortillas. And I use lots of hot peppers in the chili/cheese/cream sauce.

Chili is good in the winter, too.
meatloaft

1lb hamburger

salt

pepper

garlic

1 egg

saltine crackers (Smashed)

ketchup

Mix all ingredients together and put in a bread pan cook for 1 hour at 350 degrees. put as much pepper, salt ketchup and crackers that you You can also substitute for tomatoe sauce instead of ketchup
Go with Baked Beans. You can just heat and eat from a can or add stuff to them. There is many easy recipes for this type of recipe. All men love them and I think it is because they like to fart. Never understood that but it seems that they get some kind of kick out of it. I do not care as long as I do not have to sleep with him. It is a good source for protein and a cheap meal.
Yeah I can see your point, doesn't come across that healthy either.

I don't know any man that would turn down a steak with pepper source, mushrooms and peas.

you could try steamed new potatoes instead of chips.

perhaps a Chicken stir fry would work. they are dead easy add some nice chillies to get your man flavours in

you only need mushrooms. beansprouts , onion , peppers some noodles and soy source or whatever you think would go best

quite healthy too.
Thin Round steak cut into strips to roll up ,box of stove top chicken stuffing ,mushroom soup.

Flatten meat ,cook stuffing like it says on box,put stuffing on steak roll-up use toothpick to hold together ,put in crock-pot salt, and pepper mix mushroom soup with a little bit of water pour over steaks. Let cook for 4hours . Serve with Mash potatoes and green pees!
You can always try the ';Real Man's Quiche';.

Real men eat quiche. Real men eat whatever the hell they want and don't need a silly book from the 80s to tell them otherwise.
Your diet is not really a healthy one is it, what about fruit n veg??

My male comfort food is sea food and salad in the summer. in the winter you can't beat a good stew with crusty bread, Oh mama!!
Go to the Butcher and pick up a nice large cut of steak. Then cook it with a baked potato and some kind of veggie like green beans or corn on the cob.
chicken parmesan, chicken taco burgers, stir-fry, and or maybe some tuna or salmon stakes are delicious!!!
Sounds like someone I know-He also liked chicken fajitas. Grilled sirloin tips with a Lipton noodle side dish was what we always called ';Old Faithful';. (cuz I always have them and can be made in 20 minutes or less from freezer to table)
Try things like ghoulash, beef and bean burritoes, chili, hearty beef stew, lasagna etc. He sounds like a meat and potatoes kind of guy. Center your meals around just that.
**** on the Shingles - i.e. cream dried beef.

stick of butter, 2 cups milk, 6 tsp flour. Salt and pepper. Dried beef cut into peices. Heat until creamy, add more flour if needed. Serve over toast.
A great recipe book: ';Real Men Don't Eat Quiche';

Suggestion Beef ribs braised in beer with beans in BBQ sauce.

You could throw them all into the slow-cooker for the day.
you should try like fried steak with tabasco A1 sauce or homemade hot sauce. with like some chicken salad. and mash potatoes with bacon bits in it.
Tacos are good and easy to make. Roast beef or a whole roasted chicken are both good and easy to make.
lassagna, kebab,
