My dog is old and isn't eating her dog food anymore. Does anyone have any good dog food recipes?

Preferably something that can be frozen and something that is not so complicated to make.

Thanks. My dog is old and isn't eating her dog food anymore. Does anyone have any good dog food recipes?
There could be an underlying problem here. I know you probably dont' want to know and jsut want a quick fix in finding another measure of food it may like. so go ahead for now and do that. but you should really think of taking him/ her to the vet.. older dogs do eat less but they also have other issues sometimes there food needs to be changed for diet reasons. or failing kidney problems or its teeth are gone or sensitive and can no longer eat the food your giving them. They can also have liver failure. what was good for the dogs for 10 years may not be now. and although your trying to help your dog by feeding it without knowing the reasons why is the problem.. he /she is showing you signs you need to pay attention to them and not just sweep them under the rug thinking its tired of its food now. so you'll switch to something else.. Going to the vet doesn't mean an end to all. it just means your helping your dog in his aging process and keeping him as comfortable in his old age. They will do blood work and you can tell alot on whats happening with the blood work then make a educated decsion from there what you should be feeding him/ her.

Something you should think over. It worked for my elderly dog he lived to be 17 i just recently put him down.My dog is old and isn't eating her dog food anymore. Does anyone have any good dog food recipes?
To start (for the first 1-2 weeks):

Take a whole raw chicken. Cut it up into appropriate portions for the size of your dog (she should eat 2-3% of her ideal adult body weight every day). Hand raw chicken piece to dog.

Join Yahoo Group Rawfeeding to learn more about the appropriate percentages of bone, organ, and meat to feed.

Yep, it's that simple!

If she won't eat raw, check her teeth. Are her gums inflamed? Are her teeth decaying? Mouth pain and other health problems often keep dogs from eating. If that's the case, take her to the vet. A healthy dog will NEVER starve itself to death when offered a species-appropriate diet.
try adding a little gravy to her food if she has dry food and if she has wet food try grating a little bit of cheese on it. If she doesnt have her appetite back in a few days call the vet.
if your dog is old i would question why she is loosing her appetite..is it something more than just her not liking her food anymore?
