Can anyone give me some Colombian food recipes?

I need to make something for my school project and it has to be Colombian food. Can anyone give me some really good, non-alcoholic, recipes? The more the better, and things like deserts, such as cakes and all that good stuff. Though whatever you guys can give me I'll be grateful for. Thanks in advance! Can anyone give me some Colombian food recipes?
This sounds yummy %26amp; is EASY: you can make it in those mini muffin foil wrappers/cups.

COLOMBIAN DESSERT

ingredients:

1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese

3/4 c. sugar

1 (15 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained

1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen, sliced strawberries, do not drain

2 tbsp toasted coconut

1/2 c. chopped pecans

1 (8 oz.) carton Cool Whip

METHOD:

Blend cream cheese and sugar. Blend in pineapple, strawberries and nuts. Fold in Cool Whip. Pour into 9';x13'; pan, or individual dessert glasses. garnish with toasted coconut flakes. Place in freezer. Can serve as soon as frozen, or may be stored for several days.

Toasting coconut: you can toast dessicated coconut flakes in a large fry pan on low heat, until they are golden %26amp; nutty.

TORTA de COCO (coconut cake)

Ingredients:

1 and 1/2 cups pineapple (or orange juice)

8 ounces raisins

2 cups sugar

3 cups water

2 cinnamon sticks

7 ounces shredded unsweetened coconut (dessicated is fine)

1 poundcake (10-inch size)

10 eggs, separated

2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

butter, for the pan

METHOD:

Soak the raisins in the pineapple or orange juice.

Pre-heat the oven to 375 degrees.

In a saucepan, combine the sugar, the water and the cinnamon sticks and cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until it forms a thick syrup.

Add the coconut, stir well, and cook another three minutes, stirring occasionally.

Remove from heat and allow to cool; when cooled, remove and discard cinnamon sticks. Grate the poundcake into a large bowl. Beat the egg yolks and add them to the pound cake along with the coconut mixture, the raisins, the juice and the ground cinnamon.

Butter a ten inch springform pan. Beat the egg whites until they form stiff peaks. Fold them, using a rubber spatula, into the cake mixture, blending well but gently.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for an hour, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool on a rack before opening the springform pan.

Note: Even the best springform pans leak sometimes, so wrap the bottom with some foil and place a cookie sheet on the oven shelf beneath the shelf on which you bake the cake. Can anyone give me some Colombian food recipes?

I personally love platanos. What you do is first purchase platanos from an ethnic market (some call it a Mexican banana). Peel the bananas and slice into medallions. Fill a pan with veggie oil and when it's hot, use a metal spatula to slide the medallions in it to fry. When it turns into a golden brown, remove them and blot them with a paper towel (you may need serveral layers). Serve when cool! It's an easy treat that's slightly sweet, though if it's not sweet enough for you, sprinkle some sugar on it right after you blot it.

Good luck!
Don't have a recipe for you, but look online for a recipe for Colombian arepas. They are kind of like empanadas, but not quite the same.
Not a word of PLEASE it's all give give give.!!!!!
Arepas are the easiest, although arequipe is easy too.
